Krafty Chicks Challenge #696: All Occasions

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. All Occasions is the theme, so pretty much anything goes.

As I was cleaning off my desk this week, I found a few bits and pieces to create a card or two. These three cupcakes are left over bit from an old Paper Pumpkin, can't recall which. Since I've been quite ill the past two weeks, I wanted something simple to put together.

First I stamped the sentiment. I used my retired Stamparatus to try and get a crisp image, after stamping 4 times, I decided since it's a new set, it needed different priming that I didn't have the time for. (Some new Photopolymer stamp sets may need to have a white eraser pass over it to remove a thin film. Not all however need this, so do a practice samplee on a scrap before committing.)

Then I used my Blending Brush to create a shadow under the cupcakes.

Popped the cupcakes on Stampin' Dimensionals for interest. It was still missing something but I didn't have any embellishments to coordinate, so I went simple with the "triple +".

Lastly, to finish off the card set, I simply randomly stamped the triple + on the inside of the card and the envelope.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #694: Christmas

Oh yeah, it's Thursday! Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Let's put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

Another card using the Beary Christmas Suite. And what a great way to showcase some of that wonderful DSP with this layout. Even the focal image is DSP. Just add a sentiment and some sparkle and Merry Christmas.

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I stamped some snowflakes and added more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Krafty Chick Challenge #693: Stamp

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first full week of December, which means it's STAMP ACT week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge. Today we also introduce a new Guest Designer to play in the Hen House with us. Let us welcome Fiona of Crafty Stamping with open arms and send her some love in her comment section.

I have been playing with the Beary Christmas Suite on and off since I received it. I think the polar bears are just adorable, especially the baby one. I used the DSP for the night sky, added a few trees and gems and called it done. The hardest part of this card was all the fussy cutting and honestly that didn't take too long.

Here's a close up:

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a bit of DSP and sometimes a coordinating image. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple.
