Krafty Chicks Challenge #743: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

My brain still in Christmas crafting mode, so what's one more Christmas card going to hurt?? I'm using Layout #10 from page 22 of the Annual Catalogue. It's flipped on it side because the sentiment didn't fit portrait. And it's okay to change things up a bit to make it work for you.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: More Wishes (162324)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Pool Party (122924)
  • DSP: Let It Snow (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Real Red (147084)
  • Accessories: Ribbon (retired), Sparkle Gems (161288), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

No card is complete without finishing the inside and the envelope with a little more DSP. Keep it simple!

Want some more inspiration?? Go check out the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the Design Team have created. Hope you play along and upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #742: CHRISTMAS

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog

Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a Christmas or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on fun with a snowman this week!

As the season approaches, I can't wait to see snowmen in the front yards. Growing up we spent a lot of time outdoors. I never minded the cold then but I'm a big chicken now. This card brings back memories of fun times creating snowmen, snow angels, snowball fights, skating, broomball, and sledding (or as we Canadians call it: tobogganing).

For this card, I'm using Layout #9 from page 22 of Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue. Great way to use up some DSP or small pieces of card stock we tend to collect.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Snow Day (166490)
  • Card Stock: Real Red (102482), Flirty Flamingo (141416)
  • DSP: Let It Snow (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Blueberry Bushel (147138)
  • Accessories: Stylish Shape Dies (159183), Paper Snips Scissors (103579), Tinsel Gems (161623), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I just used a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for Christmas week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #741: STAMPS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of a brand new month, which means it's our STAMPS week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge.

For our STAMPS challenge this week, I created an Encouragement card. I'm using another Card Template from page 22 of Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue. This is Layout 8. Here's a close up:

Products used:

  • Stamp Set: Grown With Kindness (Paper Pumpkin February 2019)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Melon Mambo (115320)
  • DSP: Have A Cuppa (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Memento (132708)
  • Stampin' Blends: Melon Mambo (153112), Pool Party (154894), Smokey Slate (154904)
  • Accessories: Paper Snips Scissors (103579), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating image and more DSP. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for STAMPS week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.
