Krafty Chicks Challenge #646: Christmas

Yeah, it's Thursday! Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Seems weird to be creating more Christmas card, didn't the season just finish?  Lol! But let's put the spotlight on Christmas this week anyway! We can have a head start.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to create for this week's Christmas challenge. I am done with that season. The tree was finally put away on Monday, all trace of the holiday is gone... except in the craft room. I went looking for a sketch. Found one at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Then for the colours, I played along with the Color Throwdown, not very Christmassy but I was determined to make it work.

Supplies I used:

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple. Here I added a card stock strip and stamped the small deer. I also embossed the envelope flap for more coordination.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for Christmas week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

  1. I never have a problem with creating Christmas cards LOL...it's my favorite ones to make! I love how you incorporated both challenges here - very pretty card! I like the ones that aren't always traditional colors - WTG!

  2. Diane: Thanks first for including my name and blog link in your KCCB DT card posting! That's so sweet! And 2nd I love the color combo for your card! The raspberry pink is just enough color to make the neutrals of the winter scene vivid!!! The embossed swirls to create a snowstorm is very effective! Terrific Christmas card! --Becca/Guest Chick

  4. I really like your card, I think you did an awesome job making the colors work with the images, simple and clean. I especially like the embossed panel that swirls like the deer antlers. Thanks for sharing your pretty card with us at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Smiles, Kathy DT
