Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog.
Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a Christmas or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!
There's 15 more weeks till Christmas. Say what???!!! I haven't even started thinking about the actual holiday season yet this year. Sure I have some cards done, probably enough now to snail mail all my peeps (don't worry, I'll be making more), but I haven't really wrapped my brain around it. Normally, I'm just about done with the gift shopping or at least have an idea what I'll be buying. Better change gears soon!
For this card I am using the first inspiration Tag Template on page 16 of the September-December Mini Catalogue 2024 (we need to shorten this SDMC24, but I'd prefer to go back to Holiday Catalogue). I just put it on a card base.
Products I used:
- Stamps: none
- Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Basic White (159276), Garden Green (102584), Cherry Cobbler (119685)
- Ink Pads: Cherry Cobbler (147083) used around the edges of the embossed panel
- Accessories: Reindeer Day Memories & More Card Pack (164047), Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack (164009), Linen Thread (104199), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)
- Retired Items: gold thread, Cherry Cobbler ribbon, basics 3D embossing folder, gold glitter enamel dots
To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I trimmed one of the 4"x6" cards to coordinate with the tag on my card. Even used up the scrap bits to fussy cut a few gifts for the envelope front. Quick and easy and done.
