Krafty Chicks Challenge #766: BIRTHDAY

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Well, it's now May and the beginning of garden season. Time to clean up the yard too. Where did the time go! Anyway, on the first week of the month, we have a BIRTHDAY theme on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Create any paper craft with a birthday theme, male, female, kids, card, scrapbook or even home decor. We hope to see you in the gallery. Now let's get started with challenge

#766 BIRTHDAY

While I was playing with my April Paper Pumpkin kit: Inked Occasions, I came up with this simple card idea. I absolutely love that alcohol inked background and I dusted off this old retired stamp set to give it some wow. After fussy cutting the flowers, I used a Black Marker to thicken the outline. And there's the WOW! Maybe it's just me.

Products used: (I'll come back to fill in the blanks. It's late as I'm typing this and I didn't have my list close by.)

  • Stamp Set: Band Together (retired)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Basic Black (121045)
  • DSP: April Paper Pumpkin kit: Inked Occasions
  • Ink Pads: Memento (132708)
  • Stampin' Blends: Highland Heather (154887), Fresh Fresia (155581), Berry Burst (161681), Lost Lagoon (161680), Granny Apple Green (154885)
  • Accessories: Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (162481), Paper Snips Scissors (103579), Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets (retired), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

No card is complete without finishing the inside of the card and the envelope. Keep it simple with a little DSP and/or coordinating image.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for BIRTHDAY week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.
