Krafty Chicks Challenge #544 - All Occasions

Good morning everyone! Welcome back to my blog, my little slice of heaven, where I can showcase my creations in hopes to inspire you to get crafty.

It's Thursday and you know what that means: new Krafty Chicks Challenge! This week is All Occasions, pretty much anything goes here. I needed a New Baby card. A wonderful friend of mine just became a grandma a couple of weeks ago, so of course as a card maker, I needed to make something for the parents and welcome their Bundle of Love to the world. It's a BOY, by the way!

KRAFTY CHICKS CHALLENGE: ALL OCCASION

I cased this card from Jan McQueen that I found on Pinterest.  It is so adorable and perfect for what I wanted. These stamps and dies are retired but they will remain in my stash for a long while. The onesie is from Something For Baby with the coordinating die. The Love, Heart and Bundle is from Sunshine Saying and dies. And the happy sentiment is from the current Well Said stamp set. I did get to play with the new Blending Brushes (153611) from the JJ21 mini catalogue. Rub it in a little So Saffron ink and gently swirl it onto the Basic White panel until you're happy with the background. And the last touch, the gems!

And no card it complete without finishing the inside and the envelope. More blending to
coordinate with the card. Aren't those booties cute??

Happy Stampin'

Krafty Chicks Challenge #543: CAS

Good morning and welcome back to my blog. It's Thursday, so we have a new challenge starting today over on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. It's my first time hosting but I got this. The hardest part, as a new blogger, is remembering all the steps and hoping you didn't delete anything by accident along the way. Guess you'll find out once you visit the link. Lol!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #543: CAS

I wanted to play with some of my new products from the January-June 2021 Catalogue. I've had this Many Messages (#154510) Stamp Set along with the coordinating Messages Die (#156272) since the beginning of December, when as a Demonstrator, I could pre-order. Just to let you know when you order it as a bundle (#154510), you save 10%.

Since it's CAS week, Clean And Simple, I went with an easy layout using the FREE SAB Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (#155223) as my background (I have a hard time with white space so this is a simple solution) and the sentiment as my focal point.

I left the inside simple as well. The image is from the Painted Poppies (#151599) Stamp Set and coloured with the Real Red Stampin' Marker. Since I'm always left with lots of DSP at the end of the catalogue period and I'm into jazzing up the envelopes, another simple solution is to use it up on the flap and as a border on the front of the envelope.

If you are interested in any of the products that I've used today or if you are wanting to place a Stampin' Up! order, I'd love to help you out. You can contact me by email:  su.ink.outside.the.box@gmail.com or shop at my online store, in the comfort of your own home, at any hour of the day. Here's the link:

If your order is under $200, please use this month's Host Code. Your total is added to a party that supports my business. I use the Hostess Rewards as prizes with qualifying parties. However if your order is over $200, you get to keep the Hostess Rewards for yourself. That's more FREE stuff for you.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #542 : Christmas

Good morning and welcome back to my blog. It's Thursday, so we have a new challenge starting today over on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. I'm still all giddy about being a Designer there.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #542: CHRISTMAS

I designed this card for my grandsons to give at Christmas this past holiday. Aren't the Gnomes just adorable?? I couldn't resist buying the Gnomes For The Holiday stamp set and I'm saddened that it just recently retired. This will remain on my shelf for a long while yet. I used my Stampin' Blends to colour the images. I'm getting better at blending and shading, made 20 of these cards, so I got lots of practice. The tree image is from a retired stamp set called Peaceful Pines.

When I first started making cards (many moons ago), I didn't know "finishing" off the inside of a card was a thing. Now there's barely a card without it done. And recently I've been introduced to "Never give a naked envelope". Brilliant concept! And so I've challenged myself this year to also include this extra special detail to all my card. Are you on my card mailing list yet??

Krafty Chicks Challenge #541: STAMP ACT

My first card as a Designer (still giddy about this) on the fabulous Krafty Chicks Challenge team.

Have you heard of these Chicks?? It's where 4 designers host weekly themed challenges to get you inspired to play with your crafty things. It's pretty simple and here are the basic "rules":

-Challenges are delivered every Thursday at 12:00 am (midnight) MST.  The deadline for submissions is the following Wednesday at 12:00 pm (noon) MST.

-Week 1:Stamp Act (must have a stamp/digi image on card/project)
-Week 2:Christmas (must have something with Christmas on it)
-Week 3:CAS (Clean and Simple)
-Week 4:All Occasions (Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's, etc.)
-Week 5:Anything Goes (When there are five Thursday's in the month, anything goes)

-And most importantly, have FUN!

Leanne is hosting the Stamp Act challenge this week. So your crafty project (card, scrapbook page, tag, home decor, etc) MUST have a stamped image on it.

I played with some of the new products from the January-June-2021 Mini catalogue that went live on January 5. As a demonstrator, I had the perk of ordering this stamp set in October 2020, in time for our On Stage event. It's kind of a big deal! If you want to know more about perks or On Stage, reach out to me. I'm always happy talking about all Stampin' Up! things.

I'm in a happy place when I colour and I haven't touched these Watercolor Pencils (items #141709, 149014) since the Stampin' Blends became popular. You also need a Blender Pen (item #102845) to smooth out your colouring. These flowers and dragonfly images are from the set called Dragonfly Garden (item #154411). The grass image is from Nature's Beauty (item #150528). In order to pop the sentiment, I embossed it in white (item #109132) and added dimensionals (item #104430) on the back of the punched label. The Lovely Labels Pick A Punch (item #154070) is from the Annual Catalogue, so worth it if you create smaller labels often. Lastly, I used some Wink Of Stella (item #141897) to add shimmer to the dragonfly.

Hope my card has inspired you to dig out your colouring tools and get crafty. Don't forget to stop on by the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the other Chicks have created this week. And upload your project too.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #712: CAS
