Krafty Chicks Challenge #713: All Occasions

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog.

All Occasions is the theme. Just create something that is suitable for any special event, like wedding, sympathy, thank you and so on.

I needed to create four Thank You cards for last months customer orders. And I've been itching to try the Stack, Cut, Shuffle card. So this was the perfect time to try it.

All you need to do is stack your pattern paper. I need 4 cards so 4 DSP. If you need 3 or 5 cards, stack 3 or 5 layers respectively. Then create as many pieces by randomly cutting the stacked dsp. After each cut, I laid the stacked pieces in order.

Now it's time to shuffle. I created 4 layouts making sure I used 4 different pieces per layout.

And because I couldn't decide which border I wanted, I thought they both looked great, I decided to make two of each.

Then I couldn't decide if I wanted a white label or a pink one. So again just made two of each to create 4 different cards that are pretty much the same.

Products used:

  • Another Thank You stamp set (retired)
  • Pink Pirouette (retired) and Basic White (159276) card stock
  • Bright & Beautiful DSP (161449)
  • Blueberry Bushel (147138) ink pad
  • Sheer ribbon (retired)
  • Tinsel Gem 4 Pack (161623)

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple by just adding some DSP. I also thought since the card base was a light colour that it didn't need a white layer.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for All Occasions week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #712: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

I didn't have any issues with this week CAS design and all of it's white space. This card came together quickly too, I envisioned it, stamped the sentiment, die cut the raccoon from DSP, coloured him and popped him up on dimensionals. Later I did go put some black dots (not shown).

Products used:

  • Zany Zoo stamp set (161305)
  • Beautiful Balloons stamp set (161450)
  • Thick Basic White card stock (159229)
  • Basic Black card stock (121045)
  • Zoo Crew DSP (161304)
  • Memento ink pad (132708)
  • Granny Apple Green ink pad (147095)
  • Petal Pink ink pad (147108)
  • Lemon Lolly ink pad (161666)
  • Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends (154904)
  • Gray Granite Stampin' Blends (154886)
  • Zany Zoo Dies (161314)
  • Beautiful Ballon dies (161456)
  • Basic Black Stampin' Write marker (162481)
  • sTampin' Dimensionals (104430)

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating image. Creating a bouquet of balloons, I then traced an outline with a black marker and drew the strings. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #711: Christmas

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog

Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a Christmas or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

Here's a close up of my card:
My goal with this creation was to make a quick and easy card. And there's nothing simpler than a SIP (Stamp Ink Paper) card! I think I might stamp the "Love & Joy" again on scrap white card stock, fussy cut around the banner and pop it on Stampin' Dimensionals. It's very hard for me to create a flat card.

Products used:

  • November 2019 Paper Pumpkin Winter Gifts stamp set
  • Shaded Spruce (16981) and Basic White (159276) card stock
  • Shaded Spruce (147088) and Real Red (147084) ink pads
  • Real Red (161699) Stampin' Write marker

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I stamped a few more holly and berries. Quick and easy and done.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for Christmas week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #710: Stamps

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of a brand new month, which means it's our STAMP week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge. Today we also introduce a new Guest Designer to play in the Hen House with us. Let us welcome Rachelle from Red Cre8s with open arms and send her some love in her comment section.

For our STAMPS challenge this week, I created a birthday card. One can never have many of those in their stash. Here's a close up:

I've finally decided to reduce my pile of Paper Pumpkin kits. So you'll see many new stamp images I haven't played with yet in the upcoming months, it might even take me a year. I have about 30 kits to keep me busy. This stamp set is from February 2020 kit called Lovely Day.

Other products used:

  • Memento ink pad (132708)
  • VersaMark ink pad (102283)
  • Daffodil Delight ink pad (14794)
  • Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends (154880)
  • Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends (154883)
  • Heat Tool (129053)
  • White Embossing Powder (155554)
  • Retired gems
  • Retired It's My Birthday DSP

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating image and DSP. Same goes for the envelope.
