Krafty Chicks Challenge #838: CAS

  Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

#838 CAS

With Thanksgiving around the corner for us Canadians, I thought I'd create a few lovely fall Thank You cards to have ready in my stash. I'm not sure if these are fall flowers but it does use fall-ish colours. If you don't recognize these flowers, they are from the July 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit. There's so many flowers in this kit, one can create for days.

• Card Stock: Thick Basic White, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral
• Accessories: Amazing Thanks Dies, Stampin Dimensionals 

 

No card is complete without finishing the inside and the envelope with a coordinating element. Keep it simple!

The Creative Crafters Challenge #104: ANYTHING GOES

 Good day my Crafty friends! I hope all is well and that you are creating some crafty time for yourself. I try to get creative at least 3 times a week. It helps that I'm on the Design Team (DT) to some fun and easy challenges. Today I'm showcasing my DT card for The Creative Crafters Challenge #104.

 

 As always, we keep things simple and fun and our challenge is ANYTHING GOES. It doesn't even need to be a card, any paper project hand-made by you counts.  

Since the weather is feeling fall-ish here in Alberta, Canada, I cracked open the Vault of Retired DSP and found a paper pack with the same vibes that had only a few pieces left. I spread out these scrap pieces and started mixing and matching into layouts. I came up with quite a few designs and used up all the pieces.  

 

 Products used:

• Card Stock: Thick Basic White, Early Espresso
• DSP: Autumn Vine  
• Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

Krafty Chicks Challenge #837: CHRISTMAS

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

 #837 CHRISTMAS

I just got a new toy and had to play with it right away. I finally got a Hot Foil System. It came with the Merry Christmas die and some gold foil on a roll. Oh what a fun toy!! And I now NEED more dies to play with.

 

Products used:

• Stamp Set: Embellished Ornaments
• Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler
• DSP: Joyful Specialty 
• Ink Pads: Delicata gold glitz ink
• Accessories: Hot Foil System, Gold Foil, Merry Christmas foil die

 

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I stamped a coordinating image and a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #836: BIRTHDAY

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you! 

New month, new challenge starting today. Week one brings us a BIRTHDAY theme on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Create any paper craft with a birthday theme, male, female, kids, card, scrapbook or even home decor. We hope to see you in the gallery.

#836 BIRTHDAY

Most times that I get creative, I start with a sketch. And most often it's from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. Then from there I pick a stamp set and DSP. I let the DSP pick the colours. Then I make it all work together. That's my creative thought process! So this week, that's what I did. Here's the sketch:

 It's actually last week's sketch so I didn't enter their challenge but I do want to give them credit. From the sketch, I wondered if I had such a big flower stamp... of course I do. And I knew this stamp set had a coordinating DSP. So that checked all the boxes and I got started.

Love To Craft #94: ANYTHING GOES

Good day my Crafty friends! Happy September! A new school year has begun and fall is just around the corner. It's almost time to put the garden to bed.

But right now, t's time to play along with the Love To Craft Challenge Blog. It's a wonderful group of crafty people creating and motivating the viewers to participate in the easy Anything Goes challenge every other month. You have six weeks to make time in your craft space and play along. I can handle that! Can you??

 

For this card, I had fun using one of the die cuts from the August 2026 Paper Pumpkin: Kindred Greetings as a mask (or stencil as everyone else calls it) for the background. I love taking a kit and creating alternate designs by adding products from my stash to create even more projects.

 

 

 I like to finish the card set with a matching inside and envelope. Keep it simple with a coordinating image and a bit more masking.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #835: MASCULINE

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. MASCULINE is the theme this week and good luck to you. I struggle with cards for men. I love flowers and frills so I tend to buy more feminine stamp sets and play with those. I'll have to dig deep for masculine stamp set and dust them off before playing. Here we go!

 #835 MASCULINE

I decided to play along with The Paper Players Challenge this week. It's Ann's turn to host and she created a lovely sketch.

I needed to replace the flower with something more manly and the fairly recent (April 2026) Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin kit came to mind. When I opened the box, the bicycle ephemera was sitting on top and right underneath it was the beach scene already cut to size. All I needed now was to cut the stripe patter paper, stamp my sentiment and add the rock embellishments.

 

 Products used: everything but the card base (Thick Basic White) is from the April 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit: Lakeside Retreat.

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple by just adding some DSP and a coordinating image.

#834 CAS

Another fun time creating this card using the Freshly Made Sketches layout. This is actually the second card I make with this sketch. The first thing I thought when looking at the sketch was the July Paper Pumpkin kit. I'll be showcasing that on my Facebook group page Diane's Craft Space on Saturday. 

But then I thought about the air balloons stamp set. I fiddled a while trying to fit the different air balloons nicely and it just was working for me. And I even tried different colours, still nada. Then I remembered some DSP in my stash with clouds and rainbows. Rainbows didn't work either but the clouds finished it off. The struggle to create CAS projects for me is REAL!
