Krafty Chicks Challenge # 736: Stamps

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of a brand new month, which means it's our STAMP week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge.

For our stamp challenge this week, I created a fall-ish card. Hard to say the theme as the sentiment can mean so many things like Thank You, I Love You, or I'm Happy. Then I noticed that the only thing I stamped was the sentiment. It counts though!

I'm also playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I just changed the orientation to fit my images.

Here's a close up:

Did you think think the sunflowers were stamped?? Nope, that's a stencil (or in Stampin' Up! world: a decorative mask). I then traced around the edges with a Micron pen as my Stampin' Up! black marker is dried up. I love the effect of the doodle outline.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Cheerful Daisies (1612390)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Early Espresso (119686), Cinnamon Cider (retired)
  • DSP: Flowers For Every Season (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Crushed Curry (147087), Early Espresso (147114), Pecan Pie (161665), Granny Apple Green (147095), VersaMark (102283)
  • Accessories: Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask (retired), Stitcjed Rectangle die (retired), Spotlight On Nature die (163580),Fern 3D Embossing Folder (158804), Heat Tool (129053), White Embossing Powder (165679),Gilded Gems (retired), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

I feel no card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating product, so a little DSP is added. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #723: Stamp

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you! And Happy Independence Day to my American followers!

It's the first week of a brand new month, which means it's our STAMP week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge.

For our stamp challenge this week, I created a very easy encouragement card. Here's a close up:

I didn't have much time to craft this week. So using the May 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit, The Best There Is, I stamped a couple of trees on the mountain background layer and the sentiment on one of the banners. It was quick and easy!

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating image. Same goes for the envelope. Kept it simple here too.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #706: Stamp

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of a brand new month, which means it's our STAMP week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge. Today we also introduce a new Guest Designer to play in the Hen House with us. Let us welcome Shirley of Stampin With Shirley G with open arms and send her some love in her comment section.

Here's a close up of my card for the STAMP challenge this week:

I always have fun playing with the Hello Ladybug stamp set and this card is no exception. Once I had my layout figured out and DSP chosen, my hardest decision was figuring out the leaf and ladybug placement. I even like the purple.

No card is complete without finishing the inside with more DSP. Got to use it up somehow. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #701: Stamp

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of a brand new month, which means it's our STAMP week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge. Today we're suppose to introduce a new Guest Designer to play in the Hen House with us but  Helen of http://craftinghelen.blogspot.com/ has accepted our invite to play with us for another month. Yay!

For my card this week, I cased a fellow demonstrator. Sadly I deleted my inspiration pic so I don't have her information to give her credit. Here's a close up of what caught my eye:

I've seen many cards that have a corner folded down and I've created cards that have the fold from a side edge. This just reminds me of peek-a-boo or a slow reveal.

No card is complete without finishing the inside with some DSP and a coordinating image (that is fussy cut from DSP). Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple.

Krafty Chick Challenge #693: Stamp

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first full week of December, which means it's STAMP ACT week challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge. Today we also introduce a new Guest Designer to play in the Hen House with us. Let us welcome Fiona of Crafty Stamping with open arms and send her some love in her comment section.

I have been playing with the Beary Christmas Suite on and off since I received it. I think the polar bears are just adorable, especially the baby one. I used the DSP for the night sky, added a few trees and gems and called it done. The hardest part of this card was all the fussy cutting and honestly that didn't take too long.

Here's a close up:

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a bit of DSP and sometimes a coordinating image. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for Stamp Act week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chick Challenge #688: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of November, which means it's the STAMP ACT challenge. As long as something is stamped on your project, (rubber, polymer or digi) (sentiment or image), it qualifies for the challenge. Today we also introduce a new Guest Designer to play in the Hen House with us. Let us welcome Helen of Made By Helen with open arms and send her some love in her comment section.

Here's a close up of my Stamp Act Challenge card:

I needed another thank you card this week for a customer order. I just bought the Timeless Arrangements bundle and wanted to play with it. I created a wreath by stamping the images in a circle and covered the mess in the middle with the sentiment. I love the way it turned out. I played along with Cupcake Inspirations.

Such a great colour combo. I used Night of Navy, Boho Blue, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla.

No card is complete without finishing the inside, this time with a bit of stamping. Same goes for the envelope. Just don't look too closely, I used a white envelope instead of the Very Vanilla. I'll fix that before mailing it out. Then I'll have to create a different card to match this one.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #684: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of October. That means it's the Stamp Act challenge with the Krafty Chicks. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge. Today we also introduce a new Guest Designer for the month. So let's welcome Laurel from Laurel Seabrook Designs with open arms and show her some love with comments on her blog. Here's my card:

I am loving the DSP in the background. Not sure what it is, maybe the contrast of the Wild Wheat on the Pretty Peacock. Looks almost golden!

Here's a close up of the sponging I did in the centre of the daisies to make it a different colour and stand out.

I kept the inside and the envelope CAS (Clean And Simple) by stamping a few daisies and leaves. It is that simple and doesn't take long to coordinate with the card.

Need more inspiration for the Stamp Act challenge, hop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to get the details. And upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #680: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

It's the first week of July. That means it's the Stamp Act challenge with the Krafty Chicks. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge. We also introduce a new Guest Designer for the month. So let's welcome Denise from The Crafty Den with open arms and show her some love with comments on her blog. And now here's my card:

I played around with the paper piecing technique and gave this lady a beautiful dress and what looks like a straw hat. I used a Stampin' Blend to outline the pieces and to create a bit of shadow. And now she's styling!

Even in this close up you can't tell there's a bit of dimension, the paper pieces blend in seamlessly.

I kept the inside and the envelope CAS (Clean And Simple) with just a bit of DSP.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #666: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome June and this wonderful summer weather. We could use a little rain though, well a lot actually to quell these wildfires. There's one more month left of school here in central Alberta. My grand kids are getting excited for more sleep overs and the beach.

Onto my card for this week's Krafty Chicks Challenge : Stamp Act. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge.

I didn't realize how little I stamped for this project, but I got a sentiment and some dots. I originally created this project as a card. Then I thought it's perfect for a picture. Then I thought I'd matte it for a 5x7 frame. And finally as I took this pic, I see it as a scrapbook layout. I'm going to find a 12x12 frame for it. These two are so cute and need to be displayed.

This is Kenley, my oldest grandson. This picture was taken a couple of years ago while hiking near Bragg Creek, AB.

And this is Atticus, the youngest of two grand kids. This was taken (a couple of years ago) on our walk to the "Crazy Tree" near where I live. He is a collector of all things but especially stick. We couldn't go on a trail walk without him bringing at least one new stick home. Now he still collects a stick or two but we don't keep them.
