I Really Appreciate You Card

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. This is my second post this week. Shocking!! One of my #24for24 challenge is to create at least 3 blog posts a week. It's doable, so I'll do my best.

Here's my card:

I am play with two challenges with this gorgeous card.

Global Design Project #426

TGIF Challengers #454

Here I'm showcasing most of the products I used to create this card. Notice the Most Adored 12x12 Specialty DSP (162570)! One side of each sheet has a gold element to it and the other side have reds and pinks; perfect for Valentine but not just for this holiday. Think Love and Anniversary too. And you can get this Specialty DSP for FREE when you buy from my online store (Shop With Me) or from the catalogue.

Another part of my #24for24 is to use up my stash. As a Demonstrator for 15 years, I have accumulated a lot, I mean shelves upon shelves, of product from stamp sets to card stock to DSP to punches and then some. I've used a few retired products in the past but this year, I aim to do even more. Just because it's retired doesn't mean it's useless. All Stampin' Up!'s products are high quality and made to last. So use it as often as you can. Can you spot the retired items in this pic (look on the card too)??

Here's a close up. See all the sparkle! From the silver glimmer paper and the silver cord. And what about all that shine from the gold strips (132622), the gold on the DSP (162570) and the gold embossed (155555) sentiment which comes from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set (161521) and die cut using the coordinating dies (161525).

Then I finished off the inside and the envelope with a bit more DSP and a little sparkly twig that I needed cut off from the die cut.

I hope you enjoyed my make for today, I had fun creating it.See you soon!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #662: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome May, the month the gardens start becoming alive and green. It won't be long till the flowers are blooming and bringing us joy.

Onto my card for this week's Krafty Chicks Challenge : Stamp Act. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge.

Oh how I adore this new Bright & Beautiful Collection. It was part of the Demonstrator pre-order and I knew I was going to create many a birthday card with it. For this card, I followed along with this week's Global Design Project: Case The Designer challenge. I chose to follow the layout, the colour scheme and a bit of water colouring.

I chose to keep the inside and the envelope CAS (Clean And Simple) with just a few more balloons.

Need more inspiration for the Stamp Act challenge, hop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to get the details. And upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #652: All Occasions

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. All Occasions is the theme, so pretty much anything goes. Here's my card:

Whipped this one quickly yesterday morning as I was running late. I took a few days off from the craft space and logical that set me behind in schedule a bit. As good as I feel while I'm in my craft space, I was beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. So these few days off were great not worrying about it. If only I can get ahead a few projects and do it more often. It's a dream of mine!

I played with the Global Design Project's latest sketch challenge. Hence why it was a quick and easy card. I went with hexagons instead of circles. And the colours were decided by the DSP.

 Supplies I used:

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope just as CAS. You can't see the inside of this card, silly me took the wrong pose. Lol! But the inside has a little blending of the mask and a DSP strip at the bottom.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for All Occasions week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #595: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge? I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS, as in Clean And Simple. Here's my card:

I created this card as my monthly thank you cards for customers that buy from me in January. I like to send a little note of appreciation for their business. This time I played along with the latest sketch from Global Design Project

This sketch is perfect for our CAS challenge. Originally, I wasn't going to add the DSP but I could see how it anchored the butterfly. Plus it helps me use up my stash, I've got hoards of it. And that wasn't the only decision I had to make.

Top THANK YOU is in Memento Jet Black ink. Bottom is using Versamark and black embossing powder. Well, that was a no brainer after I heat set the embossing powder. Don't you agree?

Supplies I used:

One more decision to make. Although the black inked butterflies are beautiful, there was too much black for me. I stamped in Basic Gray also to compare. I'm happier with the gray. But I had no intentions of colouring the butterflies so it worked for this card and envelope.

I finished off the inside of the card and the envelope with a strip of DSP and a butterfly.

Want some more inspiration?? Go check out the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the Design Team have created. Hope you play along and upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.

Global Design Project #324: Case the Designer

Welcome back to my blog this cold wintry Sunday. Things are warming up though. Today we are at -18C (feels like -24C), all of last week was -23C to -27C with windchills freezing our butts at -37. And then we have tomorrow, temps are going up to -4C for a couple of days and a couple more at +3C. Now who can complain about a winter like that?

I decided to play along with Global Design Project this morning, not realizing that the challenge ended soon after I started. Just because I didn't make the deadline though, doesn't mean I wasted my time. I had fun and you're going to love it. Here it is:

The theme is CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) the designer.

I promised to showcase the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper so this was the right layout. Of course I had to use my little birdie friend again. I had a hard time deciding how I would pop him. You should have seen the mess on my desk as I tried different things but in the end, I like what I came up with.

Supplies I used:

To decorate the envelope, I stamped the leaf image randomly on the back flap and a couple more in the corners on the front. For the inside of the card, a little DSP and a thin strip of Fresh Freesia finishes it off.

Hope you like this card as much as I do. Want to see more inspiration using this layout? Head on over to the Global Design Project blog, scroll to the bottom and check out all the entries.

Happy Stampin'

Krafty Chicks Challenge #592 : Anything Goes

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday!

I can't believe we are at the end of December and the end of the year already. Boy, how the time flies! Hope you had a great Christmas! Ours was exciting with the little kids around, and loud.  They ran around the house, played games, painted ceramic ornaments, and opened presents. And I think we only had one melt-down.

It's an AnyThing Goes kind of challenge over on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog this week. These are the easiest kind of cards to make since I can play with any theme I want, almost like there aren't any rules. So here's my card:

I went with a birthday theme, as I don't have as many as I thought in my stash. It's time to rebuild! Isn't this a pretty bird?? This is a new set that will be available come January 4th, 2022 for FREE. Sale-A-Bration (SAB) is back January and February. For every $60 you spend in product (does not include shipping and tax), you get to pick an item for FREE. I love that word: FREE! This stamp set comes with a coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) and is a $120 Level product.

Supplies I used:

I kept the inside of the card and the envelope CAS by simply stamping and colouring the bird and adding a few more splatters.

I also played along with the following challenges:
Stampin' Up! Only Challenges: #291, theme CELEBRATIONS

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for Christmas week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.
