Love To Craft #94: ANYTHING GOES

Good day my Crafty friends! Happy September! A new school year has begun and fall is just around the corner. It's almost time to put the garden to bed.

But right now, t's time to play along with the Love To Craft Challenge Blog. It's a wonderful group of crafty people creating and motivating the viewers to participate in the easy Anything Goes challenge every other month. You have six weeks to make time in your craft space and play along. I can handle that! Can you??

For this card, I had fun using one of the die cuts from the August 2026 Paper Pumpkin: Kindred Greetings as a mask (or stencil as everyone else calls it) for the background. I love taking a kit and creating alternate designs by adding products from my stash to create even more projects.

I like to finish the card set with a matching inside and envelope. Keep it simple with a coordinating image and a bit more masking.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and that it motivates you to get creative. We all need a little me time, why not get crafty?? Upload your project for this week's Anything Goes theme on the LOVE TO CRAFT CHALLENGE BLOG.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #835: MASCULINE

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. MASCULINE is the theme this week and good luck to you. I struggle with cards for men. I love flowers and frills so I tend to buy more feminine stamp sets and play with those. I'll have to dig deep for masculine stamp set and dust them off before playing. Here we go!

 #835 MASCULINE

I decided to play along with The Paper Players Challenge this week. It's Ann's turn to host and she created a lovely sketch.

I needed to replace the flower with something more manly and the fairly recent (April 2026) Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin kit came to mind. When I opened the box, the bicycle ephemera was sitting on top and right underneath it was the beach scene already cut to size. All I needed now was to cut the stripe patter paper, stamp my sentiment and add the rock embellishments.

Products used: everything but the card base (Thick Basic White) is from the April 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit: Lakeside Retreat.

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple by just adding some DSP and a coordinating image.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration from the Design Teamfor MASCULINE week . There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

The Creative Crafters Challenge Blog #103 : ANYTHING GOES

Good day my Crafty friends! I hope all is well and that you are creating some crafty time for yourself. I try to get creative at least 3 times a week. It helps that I'm on the Design Team (DT) to some fun and easy challenges. Today I'm showcasing my DT card for The Creative Crafters Challenge #103.

As always, we keep things simple and fun and our challenge is ANYTHING GOES. It doesn't even need to be a card, any paper project hand-made by you counts.

This card is an alternate design of the the July Paper Pumpkin kit: Hooray For Birthdays. There are so many flower die cuts to play with, I can create many more cards. The only thing I added were a Thick Basic White card base and the gems, everything else is from the kit.

I hardly ever leave the inside of the card and the envelope unfinished. With just a little pattern paper and a coordinating image (or in this case, a dies cut or two) you can completes the card set.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and that it motivates you to get creative. We all need a little me time, why not get crafty?? Upload your project for this week's Anything Goes theme on The Creative Crafters challenge.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #829: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

#829 CAS

I waited to the very last minute this week to create my CAS card. I have the youngest grandson visiting with us this week and it's been tough to sneak away to my craft space. I almost decided to skip this week and call it a holiday but I did manage to eek out a few minutes before my July Card Class. I followed the new layout at Freshly Made Sketches and the card took no time at all.

Products used:

  • Stamp Set: June 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit: Bikes & Blooms, Supremely Awesome
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White, Lost Lagoon
  • Ink Pads: Memento, Lost Lagoon
  • Stampin' Blends: Lost Lagoon
  • Accessories: Blending Brush, Stampin Dimensionals

No card is complete without finishing the inside and envelope with a coordinating image and a strip of card stock. Keep it simple!

Want some more inspiration?? Go check out the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the Design Team has created. Hope you play along and upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space. Here's a direct link to our wonderful Design Team's personal blogs:

Love To Craft #93: ANYTHING GOES

Good day my Crafty friends! Happy Canada Day to my fellow countrymen/women! We've had lots of rain lately and there's more in the forecast. Last time, we thought we were so over the cold temps (and we were) but NOW we are SOOOOOO over the rain!! It played havoc with our local annual stampede event, some were even cancelled for the safety of the animals.

It's time to play along with the Love To Craft Challenge Blog. It's a wonderful group of crafty people creating and motivating the viewers to participate in the easy Anything Goes challenge every other month. You have six weeks to make time in your craft space and play along. I can handle that! Can you??

I'm doing my best to finish up some old retired Paper Pumpkin kits. I have quite a few on my shelves. For June alone I have 5 years accumulated and I bought this years as well, so kits to play with. So much fun to have, so little time to play! But I will make a dent. I'm done with this kit June 2022 Pick Of The Crop, there's just a lot of left over die cuts.

I included as many die cuts as I could for this card. Do you see the basket carrying the loaves and flowers?? That is the topper of the cart die cut that I cut apart. I've only been able to make three alternative with this kit so far and I might stop there for now and save the left over bits for another day (or year).

I finished the card set by using some of the smaller loaves, as there were so many, for the inside of the card. As for the envelope, I did nothing. It was fine on it's own.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and that it motivates you to get creative. We all need a little me time, why not get crafty?? Upload your project for this week's Anything Goes theme on the LOVE TO CRAFT CHALLENGE BLOG.
