Krafty Chicks Challenge #781: CHRSITMAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on CHRISTMAS this week!

 #781 CHRISTMAS

I love looking through my Christmas stamp sets and picking which one I want to play with next. I also separated the Christmas/Winter themed Designer Series Paper (DSP) so it would be quicker to get creative when I'm feeling motivated to craft. And this is what has come of this week's session.

Products used:

  • Stamp Set: Snow Much Fun (retired)
  • Card Stock: Soft Sea Foam (146988), Basic White (166780)
  • DSP: Trim The Tree (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Memento (132708), VersaMark (102283)
  • Stampin' Blends: Pumpkin Pie (154897), Afternoon Azure (161672), Pool Party (154894), Old Olive (154892), Lemon Lime Twist (161682), Smoky Slate (154904), and Basic Black (154843)
  • Accessories: Heat Tool (129653), White Embossing Powder (165679), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I stamped a coordinating image and a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #776: CHRISTMAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

 #??? CHRISTMAS

While rummaging through my Christmas Paper Pumpkin kits, I found this kit with very few bits and pieces left so it was an easy choice to finish it off and recycle the box.

 Products used:

  • Stamp Set: Joy To The World (PP October 2020)
  • Card Stock: Basic White (159276)
  • DSP: from the kit (PP October 2020)
  • Ink Pads: Soft Sea Foam (147102), Shaded Spruce (147088), Cherry Cobbler (147083)
  • Accessories: Blending Brush (153611), Twine (from kit), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I stamped a coordinating image and a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #772: CHRISTMAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

 #772 CHRISTMAS

I haven't inked up this little Christmas chickadee in a long while. It was once well loved and the stamp has the ink stains to prove it. I used my watercolour pencils to add colour to the image and a window sheet to add the water splatter in the background.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Beautiful Season (retired)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Basic Black (121045)
  • Ink Pads: Memento (132108), Gray Granite (147118)
  • Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies (retired), Water colour pencil (161700), Window Sheet (142314), Sparkle Gems (161288)

I didn't stamp the inside of the card yet as I am already late posting. But I will stamp a little part of the holly branch and give it a quick colour. As for the envelope, I just reused an envelope that I received from a friend and added the gold lined label to cover my name. Why recycle when you can reuse!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #763: CHRISTMAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

 #763 CHRISTMAS

I dusted off the October 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit: Nests of Christmas for this card. I loved the chickadee die cuts so I had to use them and the arched DSP was the discarded centre of one of the sample cards of the kit. I felt it was still missing a little something and the pine branches filled the white space.

 Products used:

  • Stamp Set: October Paper Pumpkin 2024: Nests of Christmas
  • Card Stock: Thick White (159229)
  • DSP: October Paper Pumpkin 2024: Nests of Christmas
  • Ink Pads: Shaded Spruce
  • Accessories: October Paper Pumpkin: Nests of Christmas die cuts, Classic Blc Dots (retired), Stampin' Up! Dimensionals (104430)

This kit has beautiful envelopes so I didn't have to do anything there but I did stamp more pine branches and added a strip of DSP on the inside of the card to finish it off.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #750: Christmas

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog.

Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a Christmas or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

I'm using Layout #17 of Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue this week. A very simple sketch that uses your scrap strips of DSP or even card stock will work here and a large focal image. While adhering my strips, I accidentally dropped it and it was slightly crooked. So I set the other pieces slightly askew too and I liked it. So then of course it only felt right to tilt the sentiment. Easy peasy and done quickly!

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Carols of Christnas (retired)
  • Card Stock: Early Espresso (119686), Basic White (159276)
  • DSP: (retired, so old I don't remember the name)
  • Ink Pads: Early Espresso (147114)
  • Accessories: Sparkle gems (161288), Stampin Dimensionals (104430)

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I added a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done

Krafty Chicks Challenge #746: CHRISTMAS

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog.

Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a Christmas or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week

Ready or not, Christmas season is upon us. All my Christmas cards are done but sadly with Canada Post on strike in Canada, I won't be mailing any out. That won't stop me from hand delivering a few to my local friends and family though.

This is also my last Christmas card creation for the year. I do have 4 more Holiday themed cards to showcase in my Facebook group but they are ready to photograph and post. I love making Christmas cards! I can create them all year long but after making so many since September, by December, I'm so done with it.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Most Wonderful Time (retired)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Old Olive (100702)
  • DSP:  Most Wonderful Time (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Real Red (147084), Garden Green (147089) , Old Olive (147090) , Gold (retired)
  • Accessories: Most Wonderful Time dies (retired), Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (retired), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I add a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #743: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

My brain still in Christmas crafting mode, so what's one more Christmas card going to hurt?? I'm using Layout #10 from page 22 of the Annual Catalogue. It's flipped on it side because the sentiment didn't fit portrait. And it's okay to change things up a bit to make it work for you.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: More Wishes (162324)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Pool Party (122924)
  • DSP: Let It Snow (retired)
  • Ink Pads: Real Red (147084)
  • Accessories: Ribbon (retired), Sparkle Gems (161288), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

No card is complete without finishing the inside and the envelope with a little more DSP. Keep it simple!

Want some more inspiration?? Go check out the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the Design Team have created. Hope you play along and upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.
