Krafty Chicks Challenge #812: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

#812 CAS

This card was created quick and last minute. I've been down with a nasty head cold since Saturday afternoon. I haven't been in the mood to do much, I even took Sunday off work to rest up and slept through most of it. I do feel like I'm on the mend now though.

Here's a close up of the focal element. #2 was my youngest grandson's jersey number. He loves this sport!

Products used:

  • Stamp Set: Match Day
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Gold Sheet
  • Ink Pads: Memento, VersaMark
  • Accessories: Match Day dies, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder, Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers, Stampin Dimensionals

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating image. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple!

The Creative Crafters Challenge #98

Good day my Crafty friends! I hope all is well and that you are creating some crafty time for yourself. I try to get creative at least 3 times a week. It helps that I'm on the Design Team (DT) to some fun and easy challenges. Today I'm showcasing my DT card for The Creative Crafters Challenge #98.

As always, we keep things simple and fun and our challenge is ANYTHING GOES. It doesn't even need to be a card, any paper project hand-made by you counts.

For this card I used mostly products from the 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar, I just added some DSP and a strip of card stock. This card also has no stamping, so it was quick to assemble. Added a few glittery gems to finish it off.

 Products used:
  • Stamp Set: 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White, Blueberry Bushel
  • DSP: 12 Days of Christmas Calendar
  • Accessories: Glittery Gems from the 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar, Stampin' Dimensionals

I like to finish the card set with a matching inside and envelope. It's a little extra but it doesn't take long. Keep it simple: a coordinating image and a strip of DSP is enough to make it special.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and that it motivates you to get creative. We all need a little me time, why not get crafty?? Upload your project for this week's Anything Goes theme on The Creative Crafters challenge.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #811: CHRISTMAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

 #811 CHRISTMAS

Today's card is following another great layout from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This layout also gets you using your scraps, I had enough smaller pieces to trim to size that I didn't have to cut into a sheet.

I already had the deer die cut ready to use, so this card came together quickly... after I figured out the DSP measurements. Here's a close up:

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Dashing Deer
  • Card Stock: Real Red, Early Espresso, Basic White
  • DSP: Retired from my stash, I don't recall the name
  • Ink Pads: VersaMark
  • Accessories: Heat Tool, Gold Embossing Powder, Detailed Deer thinlits, Tasteful Labels Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals

To keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple, I  added a deer die cut and a little more DSP. Quick and easy and done.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for CHRISTMAS week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #810: BIRTHDAY

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

New month, new challenge starting today. Week one brings us a BIRTHDAY theme on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Create any paper craft with a birthday theme, male, female, kids, card, scrapbook or even home decor. We hope to see you in the gallery.

#810 BIRTHDAY

Decided to play with some new stamps sets today and pause on the Paper Pumpkins. This wreath is not actually a wreath but three curved sprig connected to look like one. I went a little overkill with the purple background, it's a little dark to my liking. Tip for next time, even though you think there's not much colour on the page, stop and dry fit your element to know when to stop. The lovely sentiment (love the font) is from the POM (Product Of the Month) January 2026. Stampin' Up! started this new promotion in December 2025: purchase a qualifying order ($100 CAD) and get the POM for $5 CAD.

Products used:

  • Stamp Set: Delicate Whispers, Fabulous Sayings (POM)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Gray
  • Ink Pads: Basic Gray, Highland Heather, VersaMark
  • Stampin' Blends: Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist, light Shaded Spruce
  • Accessories: Delicate Whispers dies, heat tool, white embossing powder, blending brush

No card is complete without finishing the inside of the card and the envelope. Keep it simple with a little card stock and a coordinating image.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for BIRTHDAY week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Love To Craft Challenge #91: ANYTHING GOES

Good day my Crafty friends! It's time to play along with the Love To Craft Challenge Blog. It's a wonderful group of crafty people creating and motivating the viewers to participate in the easy Anything Goes challenge every other month. You have six weeks to make time in your craft space and play along. I can handle that! Can you??

Today, I’m playing with another class kit extra that was just piled and waiting. This is a NO STAMPING card, the Ephemera did all the work for me. Here are the pieces I'm working with and the original card.

I did add some DSP in the background to play along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and change the orientation.

Instead of an official tag, I layered some Nested Dies and popped up the Ephemera flower. My dots are more strategically placed than lined up in a row too. Here's the thing about a sketch: you take what you need from it and make it your own. Doesn't have to be a perfect replica! Play, and have fun! That also goes with the Love To Craft challenge.

I like to finish the card set with a matching inside and envelope. Kept it simple with just a little DSP and card stock this time.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and that it motivates you to get creative. We all need a little me time, why not get crafty?? Upload your project for this week's Anything Goes theme on the LOVE TO CRAFT CHALLENGE BLOG.
