Krafty Chicks Challenge #795: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?? On the third week of the month, I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS. I always have a difficult time with the true CAS design of lots of white space but I've come to realized after all this time that there's a wide interpretation to CAS (Clean And Simple). So just have fun with it.

#795 CAS

You can't imagine just how much fun I had creating this week's cards. It was so fun that I created two, one in pinks and one in blues.

I was inspired by Denise, one of the other Design Team members of the Krafty Chicks. See the card on her blog The Crafty Den. I'm also playing along with a couple of other challenges, one from Stampin' Up! and the other from a Stampin' Up! Demo Facebook group. They can be found in my fun/inspo Facebook group: Diane's Craft Space . It's a colour combo and use snowflakes.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Festive Friends, Delicate Pines
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White
  • Ink Pads: Memento, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Afternoon Azure, Melon Mambo
  • Stampin's Blends: Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Afternoon Azure
  • Accessories: Blending Brushes, Paper Snip Scissors, Foam Adhesive Strips or Stampin' Dimensionals.

No card is complete without finishing the inside with a coordinating image. I also used a strip of cards stock. Same goes for the envelope. Keep it simple!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #794: CHRISTMAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Welcome to week 2 of our challenges and that's to use a CHRISTMAS or any holiday/winter theme on your project. I chose to put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

 #794 CHRISTMAS

I had a couple of friends over one night and we all brought something to play with to the table. One lady had 3-4 kits to finish up and the other lady brought some Mix & Match Ephemera. I needed to create Christmas cards anyway, not just for this challenge, so I thought it best to slightly alter the October 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit.

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Home For The Holidays (Paper Pumpkin October 2023), Ho Ho Ho (Paper Pumpkin October 2022)
  • Card Stock: From the Home For The Holidays PP kit
  • Ink Pads: Real Red, Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

I loved the envelopes included in the kit. I didn't have to do anything, just left it as is. For the inside of the card though, I added a strip of card stock and some little trees to coordinate with the card.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for CHRISTMAS week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #793: BIRTHDAY

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Well, I blinked and it's now November. Week one has a BIRTHDAY theme on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Create any paper craft with a birthday theme, male, female, kids, card, scrapbook or even home decor. We hope to see you in the gallery. Now let's get started with the challenge.

#793 BIRTHDAY

This card uses only scraps, except for the card base of course. I only had to trim the DSP to length and then weaved them in a random pattern.

Here's a close up:

Products used:
  • Stamp Set: Hello Cupcake
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White
  • DSP: Design A Daydream
  • Ink Pads: Afternoon Azure, Blackberry Bliss
  • Accessories: blending brush

No card is complete without finishing the inside of the card and the envelope. Keep it simple with a little DSP.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for BIRTHDAY week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Love To Craft Challenge Blog: Anything Goes #88

Good day my Crafty friends! We made it to November and it's time to play along with the Love To Craft Challenge Blog. It's a wonderful group of crafty people creating and motivating the viewers to participate in the easy Anything Goes challenge every other month. You have six weeks to make time in your craft space and play along. I can handle that! Can you??

Today, I’m playing with the Paper Pumpkin Add-On die and some of last year's designer paper. It's also one of the simple Inspiration Layouts in the Annual Catalogue. In order to add dimension to the sentiment, I die cut the word JOY 4 times and stacked them. It's the same height as the popped up tag using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I like to finish the card set with a matching inside and envelope. Keep it simple with just a little DSP and a left over die cut.

Hope you enjoyed my card today and that it motivates you to get creative. We all need a little me time, why not get crafty?? Upload your project for this week's Anything Goes theme on the
