Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!
New month, new challenge starting today. Week one brings us a BIRTHDAY theme on the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Create any paper craft with a birthday theme, male, female, kids, card, scrapbook or even home decor. We hope to see you in the gallery.
#819 BIRTHDAY
I almost sat out for this week's BIRTHDAY Challenge, running out of time. So here's what happened. I'm in my craft room, playing along with a couple of challenges. For the sketch, it's a Case The Designer theme from Stampin' Up! Only Challenge.
Then I went looking for a colour challenge. I tried two different combos and both the cards were total flops (in my opinion). One was Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush, and Daffodil Delight. The other colour combo was Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, and Lemon Lime Twist. I just couldn't make it work! So at 9:30 pm, Wednesday night, 2.5 hours before deadline, I give it another go, with two colours. Turns out so much better, I like this card!

No card is complete without finishing the inside of the card and the envelope. Keep it simple with a little card stock and coordinating image. I even die cut the envelope flap to coordinate.
