Krafty Chicks Challenge #659: Christmas

Yeah, it's Thursday! Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Let's put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

I am in love with this card. While scrolling on Facebook, I saw a card using products from a different company but with this layout: a stencil (Decorative Mask in Stampin' Up! language) in the background with a focal element popped up. I will be using this layout a bit more often, I like it a lot.

In the Stampin' Up! world right now (April is a BIG month), we are in catalogue transition. Things are retiring and retiring fast as the New Annual Catalogue 2023-2024 is coming in May. This stamp set is on the Last Chance list (scroll down for more info) so I thought I'd showcase it. It's a stamp set that I plan on keeping for a while longer though.

I kept the inside of the card and the envelope just as clean and simple with more masking and stamping some pine cones. It's a little touch that makes the recipient anticipate what's inside and feel extra special that you went through the trouble (takes maybe an extra 5 minutes but don't tell them that).

If you want to see the Last Chance List, scroll down and click the links. All products on these lists are "while supplies last"; once they are sold out, they are gone for good. So don't hesitate if you're interested in a specific product. Shop with me here: http://surl.li/ghgvp

Krafty Chicks Challenge #658: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome April and hoping for April showers to come clean things up a bit, awaken the bulbs and melt the remaining snow. My front yard always takes forever to thaw as it's north facing. We are considering taking the shovel to help it along, hubby tried the snowblower already but it didn't work. I always get so antsy this time of year.

Onto my card for this week's Krafty Chicks Challenge : Stamp Act. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge.

I kept the inside and the envelope CAS (Clean And Simple) with just a bit of stamping to tie them with the card front.

Need more inspiration for the Stamp Act challenge, hop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to get the details. And upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #657: Anything Goes (ATG)

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

We made it to Spring!! The snow is melting quickly and the sun is shinning and warm.

This week on the Krafty Chicks Challenge blog, it's Anything Goes week. One of the easiest challenges because you can have any theme you like. It can be a card, (fancy fold even), a treat package, home decor, or a scrapbook page. Literally Anything Goes!

Here's my project:

I started this beautiful card a month ago for CAS week. Then I realized it's not as clean or simple as I thought it was so I set it aside to finish another time. I cased this from the January-April Mini Catalogue (page 58). I don't have the DSP so I had to create my own background. Very easy to do with Blending Brushes and a little patience. I think it turned out fabulous!

Supplies I used:

I didn't have time to prepare an envelope this week but I would most likely just stamp the montains across the bottom of the inside of the card and the envelope front, maybe even on the back flap of envelope.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for All Occasions week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #656: All Occasion

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. All Occasions is the theme, so pretty much anything goes. It's whatever you feel like creating: Spring, birthday, anniversary, friend, thank you or any other occasion. Here's my card:

This is a first of many creations from the March 2023 10th Anniversary Paper Pumpkin alternates.

Supplies I used: (List to come)

I'm glad that all Paper Pumpkin kits that create cards come with coordinating envelopes. All I had to do here was stamp and colour the foliage.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for All Occasions week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Kraft Chicks Challenge #655: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge? I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS, as in Clean And Simple. Here's my card:

Last night, I almost forgot that it was Krafty Chicks Challenge day. I remembered just before I had a few crafty ladies come for a class. I quickly picked my stamp set, DSP and St Patrick's Day theme with the green but at the last minute made it spring-time. I love gnomes and these were so fun to colour. I followed along with Freshly Made Sketches current challenge.

 Supplies I used:

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope clean and simple with just a little card stock and DSP strips.

Krafty Chicks Challenge 654: Christmas

Yeah, it's Thursday! Time for another great challenge from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. Let's put the spotlight on Christmas this week!

Just a quick and easy card today. I played with the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown sketch challenge for March. And a little colouring fun with my Stampin' Blends.

I like to keep the inside of the card and the envelope just as CAS. Here I just added a strip of DSP to the inside and stamped the snowman.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for Christmas week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #653: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome March and a little more winter. I'm hoping Spring comes on time though. The white stuff is getting very tiresome. I'm ready to see the plants sprout from the ground. I'm ready to put away my winter coat. Dare I say it: I'm ready for sandals. Well, I'd have to schedule a pedicure first but I'm ready!!!

Onto my card for this week's Krafty Chicks Challenge : Stamp Act. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge.

For this beauty, I decided to case the catalogue again. I had a few scraps sitting on my desk and wanted a crafty way to use them. Have a look on page 23 of the January-April Mini Catalogue. Here's a close up:

I'm glad I kept a few star punched in my stash. They worked perfectly here.

Supplies I used:

I usually keep the inside and the envelope CAS (Clean And Simple) with just a bit of DSP or card stock, maybe even a little stamping.

Need more inspiration for the Stamp Act challenge, hop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to get the details. And upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.
