Krafty Chicks Challenge #552 All Occasions

Welcome everyone! Can you believe we made it to Thursday already? Time flies when you are having fun, so they say. Today is also Krafty Chicks Challenge day where we are looking for All Occasions projects. I went with a baby card.

 KRAFTY CHICKS CHALLENGE #552

The stamp sets, DSP and punches I used are retired.  What do you think of the onesie?? It's all blinged up.

I am glad I kept the border star punch, it makes quick work of accumulating itty-bitty stars. I don't think I've ever used it as a border.

I had to piece together that sentiment for the inside of the card using a couple of different stamp sets but I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa won't care. And finished up the envelope with the mobile and added rubber duckies to the flap.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the other Hens have going on for inspiration. And play along, we love seeing what is going on in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #551 CAS

Hello everyone! Welcome to Krafty Chicks Challenge Thursday. I'm hosting this week with a CAS theme. We want to see your Clean And Simple projects. My card is truly that: SIMPLE.

I didn't have much time to play in my craft space lately since it was hubby's 70th birthday last weekend and we HAD to celebrate that. My daughter and grandsons came for a sleep over and we were also able to "gather" at a restaurant (separate tables) with John's son and his family. He was totally surprised and so happy.

Back to card making, I'm so happy it is CAS week and this card came together quickly. Using a Thick Basic White  (159229) card base, I layered the recently retired SAB Flower & Fields DSP onto So Saffron card stock (105118). Then used the 1 1/2" Circle Punch (138299) on Basic Black card stock (121045) as a back layer to my focal sentiment element. On a 3/4" Basic White (159276) strip, I centered it in the Everyday Labels punch (144668), punched it out, then stamped THANKS from the Ornate Thanks stamp set (149471) in Memento Black ink (132708). Pop that up on Stampin' Dimensionals (104430) and it's done.

I do not have a pic of the inside, I forgot to take one before giving it away but I kept it simple with just a band of DSP on the bottom. And I did not decorate the envelope this time. But if one wanted too, one can stamp flower images on the front bottom left corner and use more DSP on the flap.

Now head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the other Hens have for inspiration. Please upload your projects so that we can see what your are up to in your craft space.

Kraft Chicks Challenge #550 - Christmas

Welcome to another edition of Krafty Chicks Challenge Thursday. We, in Central Alberta, have been getting mild springtime weather for the almost a couple of weeks. I have even seen people wear shorts! Yesterday morning however, Mother Nature put the brakes on and reminded us that it's still winter, with cold temperatures and a light blanket of snow. It wasn't as pretty a wonderland as this scenic card though.

This scene is simply created with the retired Feels Like Frost DSP. Add a little focal point like the tree die found in the In The Woods die set (151809) covered in Shimmery Crystal Effects (150892), a sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set (149418) and you have a CAS (Clean And Simple) design in a Christmas card.

It's very hard to photograph the beauty of Shimmery Crystal Effects. This is the closest, clear picture I could capture. Looks like a thin blanket of snow to me.

I kept the inside of the card CAS as well. The sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather ink (147103) and the naked trees, as my grandsons love to call them, stamped in Smokey Slate (147113).

And to finish it all off, the envelope is decorated with more DSP and a band of Highland Heather to tie it all together.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #549 - Stamp Act

Welcome to another Krafty Chicks Challenge Thursday. The theme this week is Stamp Act, stamp at least one thing on your project.

Throwback Thursday to 2017 for this card. Since Stampin' Up! has brought back this stamp set to coordinate with the Hey Birthday Chick in the JJ21 mini catalogue, I thought I'd show you this. I can't even remember what DSP this is, I don't seem to have any left over.

Here's the inside of the card. Again more retired DSP and the sentiment is retired as well. I don't have a decorated envelope yet and since there's no DSP left, so I'll just stamp the hen on the front and egg on the flap, then colour them in. I'm pretty impressed with my watercolouring on this card.

Don't forget to stop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details. And please play along, upload you project so we can see what's happening in your craft space.
