Krafty Chicks Challenge #662: Stamp Act

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome May, the month the gardens start becoming alive and green. It won't be long till the flowers are blooming and bringing us joy.

Onto my card for this week's Krafty Chicks Challenge : Stamp Act. As long as something is stamped, be it an image (digi or rubber) or a sentiment, it qualifies for the Stamp Act challenge.

Oh how I adore this new Bright & Beautiful Collection. It was part of the Demonstrator pre-order and I knew I was going to create many a birthday card with it. For this card, I followed along with this week's Global Design Project: Case The Designer challenge. I chose to follow the layout, the colour scheme and a bit of water colouring.

I chose to keep the inside and the envelope CAS (Clean And Simple) with just a few more balloons.

Need more inspiration for the Stamp Act challenge, hop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to get the details. And upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #661: All Occasions

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Welcome to another great challenge week from the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog. All Occasions is the theme, so pretty much anything goes. Here's my card:

In January and a bit of February, I sat in my craft space and created this card (and few others) with the He's The Man Collection found on page 78 of the Annual Catalogue. I am hoping to start a new sort of Virtual Class called QUICK Club (Quarterly. Unique. Inspiring. Card. Kits.). It's been an idea floating in my head for almost 2 years, so I'm glad I finally sat down to create. The idea is to get more use out of your stamp sets and bundles.

Have you ever bought a bundle and only ever created ONE, maybe two cards with it?? I have... many, many times. That makes for a very expensive card. Bundles retail anywhere from $60 -$75. And to create only one card with it is just crazy. My idea is, over the span of 3 months (13 weeks), we will create one card a week (13 cards total) using the bundle. I'll have more details soon but you can find the gist of it in my Facebook Group, Featured section of Diane's Craft Space, if you really want to know now. Since the DSP is retiring in less than a week, I will call this my practice run through the new QUICK Club. And I'll have an announcement once the new Annual Catalogue 2023-2024 goes Live on May 2, 2023.

As for the inside of the card and the envelope, I kept it clean and simple with some DSP and a die cut. That's all it really takes to push your card over the top.

Head on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog for more details about the challenge and for more inspiration for All Occasions week from the Design Team. There's even a place to upload your project at the end. I hope you play along with us and show us what's happening in your craft space.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #660: CAS

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday to you!

Are you ready for this week's challenge? I'm the hostess and we are looking for CAS, as in Clean And Simple. Here's my card:

I have been playing with the soon-to-be-retired stamp sets, trying to show them so more love before they go away. There's even a few sets that haven't been inked yet. Today I'm showcasing Amazing Silhouettes. I played with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and the Color Throwdown challenge.

I had a little fun with Decorative Masks again. I like the soft look in the background. And it added the touch of yellow that I needed to complete the challenge.

As for the inside of the card and the envelope, I kept it just as CAS with a stamped image and more masking.

Want some more inspiration?? Go check out the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog to see what the Design Team have created. Hope you play along and upload your project so that we can see what's happening in your craft space.
